The Quasquicentennial – 125th Anniversary – of our parish will be celebrated during the coming
year, 2026. As we prepare to celebrate this momentous milestone, we reflect with gratitude on the
rich history and enduring faith that have sustained our parish since its founding in 1901. For over
a century, our church has been a spiritual home, a beacon of hope, and a cornerstone of the
Harlem community. From the early days of serving immigrant families to standing as a testament
to resilience through changing times, our parish has thrived because of the dedication and
generosity of families like yours.
I am calling on all parishioners during this anniversary to reflect on the many sacrifices made by
the parishioners who, scores of years ago, built our beautiful church, and most importantly, to take
personal responsibility for the upkeeping of it for many more years to come. Hence, this
anniversary is not just a celebration of the past but a call to strengthen our future.
To honor this legacy, we invite you to participate in a special 125th Anniversary Giving
Campaign with a generous donation of $1,000.00 per family. Your contribution will be used for
three major facility upgrades: Painting and lighting/electrical upgrade of our main church, and
the artistic restoration of our grotto. These upgrades will ensure that Our Lady of Lourdes
continues to shine brightly for generations to come.
Our parish goal is $400,000.00, and with your help, we can achieve it. Your gift—whether given
at once or in monthly installments—will be a lasting testament to your faith and commitment to
our parish family.
